Its elevated position affords a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside and coast.
The Courtyard Wales is within easy reach of many bustling towns, beautiful beaches and historic castles. It sits at the centre of a thriving area for coastal adventure holidays, cycling holidays and is within a short drive from the mountain biking activity hub at the Brechfa Forest Mountain Biking Trail. For keen walkers, the 870 mile long Wales Coast Path walking trail runs alongside the property through the farm.

A great base to explore the rest of West Wales
Being a coastal location, there are plenty of beaches to explore both nearby and further afield. The nearest beach is at Ferryside, an estuary beach with gorgeous views across to the Norman Castle at Llansteffan on the other side of the mouth of the River Towy. The Courtyard Wales is at the gateway to the Pembrokeshire Coastal National Park and its plethora of beaches and Welsh coastal villages. The tourist centres and beaches of South Pembrokeshire such as Saundersfoot and Tenby are about a 40 minute drive away. Heading east a 20-minute drive will get you to the famous rugby town of Llanelli, home of The Scarlets. Here you will also find other gems such as the WWT National Wetland Centre and the Jack Nicklaus designed Machynys Golf Peninsula 18-hole golf course and clubhouse restaurant and Spa. Pembrey Country Park and Beach
The 8 mile stretch of golden sands at Pembrey are 10 minutes drive away. You will also find a multitude of walking and cycling trails here, along with a dry ski slope, taboggan ride and horseriding. Bikes can be hired here to explore the rest of the Millenium Coastal Path, a walking and cycling route that stretches as far as the Loughour estuary.



Castle, Castle and more Castles!
Kidwelly, Llansteffan, Carreg Cennen, Laugharne, Dinefwr and Dryslwyn, they are almost around every corner in this part of Wales. All of these are within 30 minutes drive of The Courtyard, or if you don’t want to move too far from your luxury bedroom, you can walk up the field to the headland and watch the sun setting behind Llansteffan Castle.


A great location for chilling and eating out
The Courtyard Wales location is not all about activity holidays and is surrounded by a host of attractions, market towns and excellent places for dining out.
The nearest town is Carmarthen, a small market town, great for some retail therapy and a lazy lunch. Small independent shops sit alongside national chains such as M&S and TK Maxx and there are loads of cafes, restaurants, pubs and coffee shops to choose from.
A 20 minute drive will get you to the National Botanic Garden of Wales with its famous domed glasshouse, combine this trip with a visit to to Aberglasney Gardens and historic house, famed as the ‘Garden lost in time’. If you have time try to squeeze in a pit stop at Wrights Food Emporium, or a longer lunch at Y Polyn.

The History behind the Courtyard
The farmhouse, walled garden and courtyard buildings were built in 1725. The Morgan Family took over the farm back in 1944. It was traditionally a working farm until 2001 and The Courtyard housed the farm machinery, animals and their feed. The Courtyard building have been renovated to a high standard in 2021. The farm is surrounding by beautiful scenery giving a blissful vibe of the countryside in Carmarthenshire. You will love your stay here, whether it’s with friends, family or colleagues. It is all you need for a relaxing getaway in the countryside.
